Fly by the TreviPay booth at Airline Distribution

In the airline industry, B2B payments refer to the financial transactions between airlines and their partners, such as travel agencies, tour operators, and other distribution channels. These payments can include things like ticket sales, commissions, and incentives.

Airline distribution systems (ADS) are typically used to facilitate these B2B payments. These systems are used by airlines to distribute their inventory to travel agencies and other partners, allowing them to book and sell tickets on behalf of the airline. The payments for these transactions are typically processed through the ADS, with the airline issuing invoices to its partners and collecting payment through electronic bank transfers or other electronic payment methods.

In recent years, with the advent of NDC (New Distribution Capability) technology, a new standard for airlines to distribute their products and services to travel agents, airlines can now offer their content directly to partners and even offer direct billing options, this allows airlines to have a direct relationship with the agents and to automate the payment process, reducing the risk of errors and increasing the speed of the payment process.
