 “Future payment leaders, however, will shift their strategy to focus on reassembling capabilities and services to offer both horizontal and vertical solutions that specialize and simplify.”2 

The dominance of B2B2X players. 

Many of the recent high-growth payment providers such as Adyen, Rapyd and Stripe have deliberately targeted platforms and developers to scale quickly via a B2B2X model.”3
